History/Overview
In Chevrolet parlance, the Silverado 3500 HD CC is a chassis-cab version of Chevy’s toughest consumer-grade pickup platform. It comes with a cab but no cargo box so you can custom-fit the body you need with the help of an aftermarket upfitter.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
There are no major changes to the Silverado 3500 HD CC for 2022 following a substantial revision two years ago.
Available Trims
Chevrolet offers the 3500 HD CC in WT (Work Truck) and LT trim levels. You can choose gas or diesel V8 engines and rear- or four-wheel drive; a six-speed automatic transmission is standard with gas engines, while the diesel gets a 10-speed. You can also choose regular or crew cab body styles.
Standard Features
The Silverado 3500 HD CC comes equipped with Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 system, a wi-fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, two USB ports, LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, trailer mirrors, vinyl seats/flooring, and a six-speaker stereo.
Key Options
You can add comfort in the form of power-adjustable/heated front seats, and you can trade front buckets for a three-place bench. There’s also an upgraded infotainment system available.
Fuel Economy
Like the rest of the Silverado HD lineup, the 3500 CC is classified as a commercial vehicle, so Chevy doesn’t have to publish fuel consumption estimates for it.
Competition
The Silverado 3500 HD CC is a competitor to the similar GMC Sierra 3500 HD CC, as well as chassis-cab versions of the Ford F-350 and Ram 3500.
